Dr. Craig Bunnell, MD

Dr. Craig Bunnell, MD, MPH, MBA, is the Morse Family Chief Medical Officer at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and a Havard Medical School affiliated teaching hospital. In his role, Dr. Bunnell oversees adult and pediatric clinical services. Under his leadership, the institute has become a leader in implementing technology to enhance patient flow, operational efficiency, and patient access. In 2010, Dr. Bunnell was named Boston Business Journal’s Champion in Healthcare for Industry Innovation.

Dr. Bunnell is a breast medical oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has been the principal investigator of numerous institutional and multicenter clinical trials and serves on several editorial boards.

Dr. Bunnell received his MD from Harvard Medical School, his MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health, and his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his medical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he also served as Chief Medical Resident.

Dr. Bunnell has published more than 120 original articles focused on innovative breast cancer treatments and improvements in the safety, quality, and efficiency of cancer care delivery.

He holds, or has held, leadership positions at the National Comprehensive Cancer Centers, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Association of American Cancer Institutes, the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Cancer Society.
