Roberto Engels

Roberto Engels serves on the Board of Directors at 4D Path, where he applies extensive managerial experience and an international perspective to maintain the highest standards of corporate governance. As a seasoned investor, he is dedicated to helping portfolio companies realize their full potential through focused strategic insights.

Mr. Engels launched his career as a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton before ascending to executive roles at major corporations, including serving as CEO for YPF SA in Chile and Peru. At Bank of America, he led the Latam private equity fund as a Managing Partner. As an experienced investor, he notably backed Brazil’s Care Plus, a private medical insurance (later acquired by Bupa). He currently works for his family office and invests in growth opportunities, with a primary focus on the healthcare and renewable energy sectors.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi, Pi Tau Sigma, and Sigma Xi academic honor societies. He is married and has four daughters.
